The Most Important Thing to Understand First

Heat and drying are not the same thing. A dryer can generate heat correctly and still fail to dry clothes effectively. The reason is that drying requires two things working together: heat to evaporate moisture from fabric, and airflow to carry that moisture-laden air out of the drum and out of the house.
